Drake International is hiring for a Data Center Operations Manager for our client in Grand Falls, NB.We are looking for an engaged and hands-on leader In this role you will, together with your team, be responsible for the day-to-day operation and maintenance of our data center infrastructure by reporting to the Management team.This is a full time, permanent positionROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage day-to-day activities and site operations in a 24x7 operating environment. Collaborate with operations monitoring center. Working in a changing environment and ensure that daily routines and procedures are up to date and guarantees operational excellence. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as hardware upgrades, equipment installations, and cable management to ensure optimal performance of the data center. Monitor data center infrastructure including servers, storage systems, and networking equipment. Coordinate with vendors and third-party providers for equipment repairs, replacements, and upgrades as necessary. Maintain accurate documentation of data center assets, configurations and procedures. Assist in the implementation of new technologies and systems within the data center environment. Adhere to security protocols and best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data stored in the data center. Ensure proper security measures for the workplace and the network infrastructure Maintain logs for service and maintenance on deployed assets.QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience. 3 + years of experience in data center operations, including hands-on experience with server hardware, networking equipment, cabling and storage systems. Understanding of IT systems, data communication equipment and cabling. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues. Hands-on with entrepreneurial mindset, startup experience is an asset. Comfortable directing and supporting a team of technicians in a 24x7 operating environment. Knowledge of data center best practices, standards, and protocols.
