Job DescriptionSummary:The incumbent will be responsible for the design, implementation and support of a variety of FPGA-based projects conforming to input specifications. Responsibilities will include FPGA specific requirements generation, design documentation, HDL coding in either SystemVerilog or VHDL, simulation, test vector generation and lab integration.Duties & Responsibilities:Work with project leader to create schedules and list of deliverablesCreate high level block diagrams and documentationDevelop and document RTL code to implement designsEvaluate, select and license cores as requiredCreate detailed test benches and perform verification including detailed timing analysisWorks with CAD resource to create required schematic symbols and provide layout recommendationsCreate detailed test plans for both simulation and hardware integrationTest and troubleshoot engineering HW prototypes in a lab environment Assist with the transition of designs to manufacturingRequirementsQualifications:Engineering degree focused on digital electronics/communicationsMinimum 5 years of combined digital hardware and FPGA/ASIC designExperience in VHDL and SystemVerilog coding of data path applicationsExperienced with ModelSim, Questa, Xilinx VivadoExperience with Microsemi Libero is desirableExperience with SoC architectures is highly desirableExperience with software defined radio architectures is desirableWorking knowledge and a demonstrable ability to use lab equipment;Oscilloscopes/Logic AnalyzersSignal generatorsSpectrum AnalyzersMust be able to obtain a minimum Secret Level II Security ClearanceExcellent verbal and written communication skills are essential;
