An exciting opportunity exists within the Advanced Imaging business line in the role of Process Engineering Specialist. As a Process Engineering Specialist you will be critically involved in the development of complex DALSA products, the building of engineering samples and the transfer from the Product Development groups to Manufacturing, both the standard value stream and the custom value stream. This position will report to the Product Operations Manager.

This Intermediate Process Engineering Specialist will support the design teams and the manufacturing teams to enable the delivery of high quality product. The primary focus will be related to planning manufacturing process flows and creating machine programs for wire bonding, die bonding, wafer dicing and other specialized assembly processes. They will also be responsible for building sensors for engineering samples and for products that are not transferred to manufacturing.


The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a high technology manufacturing environment.

They will also have experience in many of the following areas:

  • Knowledge of semiconductor and/or electronics manufacturing methods and practices.
  • The ability to create clear and concise technical documentation.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • The ability to collaborate well as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience with statistics and data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of electronics assembly equipment and related machine programming ability.
  • Experience with specialized assembly of intricate mechanical, optical, or semiconductor devices.
  • Identifying and developing new processes and equipment.
  • Documenting and presenting data and findings during the product introduction cycle.
  • Working with designers to resolve any issues discovered during initial builds.
  • Support the training of resources within Manufacturing to assemble new products.
  • Ability to solve process and product related problems using a structured approach.

The position is for a 24 month contract, starting as soon as possible.
